Governance

Completion ≠ Certification

FarmSync Academy trains. JAPAC-GAP certifies. Under ISO/IEC 17065, the body that trains a farmer can never be the body that certifies them.

The four steps

Two organisations, one clear handover

FarmSync Academy — training & preparation

Step 1

Academy Training

A season-long cohort through Modules 0–11 with a Field Facilitator. Ends with a Certificate of Training Completion.

Step 2

Mock Audit Window

A practice run of an audit so farmers know what to expect. It prepares — it never grades or certifies.

JAPAC-GAP — independent certification

Step 3

Independent JAPAC-GAP Audit

A separate, accredited certification body audits the farm. The Academy has no say in the outcome.

Step 4

Certification Decision

Only JAPAC-GAP can issue a GAP certificate, in line with ISO/IEC 17065 impartiality requirements.

What the Academy gives you

  • A Certificate of Training Completion — proof you finished Modules 0–11
  • A Readiness Score — how far a cooperative is through training
  • A Mock Audit — a practice run so nothing is a surprise
  • An EUDR Compliance Packet — organised documentation you own

What it is never

  • A GAP certificate or certification decision
  • A prediction or guarantee of audit outcome
  • Something a paid tier or subscription can influence
  • An audit of your farm by the Academy

Completion ≠ Certification

FarmSync Academy trains farmers. JAPAC-GAP certifies them. Per ISO/IEC 17065, these cannot be the same entity. No Readiness Score, completed module or paid tier on this platform is a certification result. Farm and training data belongs to the farmer or cooperative — this platform supports them; it does not audit them.
