The EUDR Countdown: What Every Cocoa and Palm Cooperative Must Have Ready

The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) requires that cocoa, coffee, oil palm and several other commodities placed on the EU market are deforestation-free and legally produced.

The two dates that matter

Large and medium operators must comply from 30 December 2026. Micro and small operators follow on 30 June 2027. Exporters are already asking their suppliers for evidence now.

What buyers will ask for

  • Plot geolocation (GPS points or polygons for plots over 4 ha)
  • Land-use history showing no deforestation after 31 December 2020
  • Records of environmental and waste practices
  • A traceable link between each plot and each delivery

How FarmSync Academy helps

Module 1 (Site History & Farm Mapping) and Module 8 (Environmental & Waste Management) produce exactly these records during training. The cooperative EUDR Compliance Packet assembles them into a buyer-ready file.

Remember: a compliance packet is documentation support, not a certification. Completion ≠ Certification.

Completion ≠ Certification. Training readiness only — certification decisions are made independently by JAPAC-GAP.
